Irving’s injury looked ugly live. Powell was contesting a rebound when he lost his balance and landed directly on Irving’s right leg. The star guard left the game, though the Mavericks disputed a claim from the Blazers’ TV broadcast stating that Irving left the arena in a wheelchair.
