Kyrie Irving is still apparently the flat-earth guy to many a rival fanbase.

The Dallas Mavericks star Irving heard it on the road Monday night from fans of the Atlanta Hawks. As Irving was shooting free throws in the first half, the crowd at State Farm Arena serenaded him with a hilarious chant.

“The earth is round!” they chanted at Irving, per John Hollinger of The Athletic.

The chant didn’t quite work though as Irving sank both of his free throws en route to a game-high 32 points as Dallas went on to beat Atlanta 128-118. But the Hawks crowd definitely gets an “A” for effort there.

It has been nearly eight years now since the former No. 1 overall pick Irving first expressed his (perhaps unserious) belief that the earth is actually flat. That reputation continues to follow him to this day, and some opponents have gotten even more creative with the earth science jabs at Irving.
