Larry Sanders sends cryptic tweets about Warriors, Cavs
Larry Sanders wants us all to know that he’s still around and that he might be actively searching for employment.
The ex-Bucks center took to Twitter on Saturday and dropped semi-cryptic images about the Golden State Warriors and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The first one was a still from the 1979 cult film The Warriors:

The second was of a painting by Alex de Andreis, a French artist of the late 19th and early 20th century who was known for his various depictions of the cavaliers of English society:

Sanders, 27, has not played in the NBA since the 2014-15 season when he averaged 7.3 points per game, 6.1 rebounds per game, and 1.4 blocks per game in 27 appearances for the Milwaukee Bucks. An up-and-coming rim protector and low-post threat, Sanders never really put it all together and was felled by an array of troubles off the court. His passion for the sport of basketball also wound up coming into question.
However, Sanders has made it known he’s looking to make an NBA comeback:
Larry Sanders is working out in California. Several teams have shown interest in him and he remains open to the idea of an NBA comeback.

The Warriors currently have 12 players under contract and might need more frontcourt depth for their second unit after Marreese Speights signed with the rival Clippers on Friday. The defending champion Cavaliers, meanwhile, also have 12 roster spots filled at the moment, but LeBron James and JR Smith, both of whom have yet to officially re-sign with the team, are essentially locks for two of those remaining openings.
Sanders’ talent is undeniable, and it’s not a shock that, if an NBA comeback is indeed in the works, he would prefer to latch on with one of the top two championship contenders in the league. But we’ll just have to wait and see if either of those teams will be inclined to stir an already stable pot by adding a volatile personality like Sanders who, at this point of his career, represents a major reclamation project.
