LaVar Ball goes after Byron Scott for telling him to ‘shut up’

Tack on former Los Angeles Lakers head coach Byron Scott’s name to the list of notable people caught up in a feud with the Big Baller.

Scott recently told TMZ Sports that LaVar Ball needed to “shut up” in the wake of some comments he made that current Lakers head coach Luke Walton and the rest of his staff didn’t know how to coach his son Lonzo.

On Friday night though, it was LaVar’s turn to fire back at Scott.

“Yeah, I got words for Byron Scott,” he said upon being asked, also by TMZ Sports. “Shut the h— up and do what you do. Leave me alone.

“He ain’t doing nothing else,” LaVar continued. “Tell him, if he wants his name in the news, tell him go do something. You ain’t gotta talk about Ball to get your name in the news. Then again, yes you do. Cuz ain’t nobody talking about Byron Scott doing nothing.”

It’s certainly not the first war of words that the abrasive Ball family patriarch has gotten into lately, and it definitely will not be the last. But he probably has at least one prominent and definite ally in this particular anti-Scott crusade.
