LeBron James excited about Lakers’ young players

LeBron James

LeBron James is apparently pretty excited about the Los Angeles Lakers’ young players, which should not be too surprising.

LeBron chose to sign with the Lakers as a free agent this offseason even though the team only won 35 games last season. He also came to them even though no other All-Star was joining him as was initially expected to be the case. That’s because he saw potential with the roster.

Lakers executives Magic Johnson and Rob Pelinka sat down with Spectrum SportsNet for an interview that aired on Tuesday. In the interview, Magic shared how excited LeBron was about the roster.

Some of the young talent on the team includes recent draft picks Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball. One of their other emerging young players was Julius Randle, but the Lakers renounced their rights to him.

In addition to LeBron, the Lakers have added other players like Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee and Rajon Rondo. Magic says that they consulted LeBron for his input on those moves. That may be understating things considering LeBron practically sealed the Lance Stephenson signing.
