LeBron James issued an apparent response to criticism he received from NBA legend Isiah Thomas on Friday.
Thomas suggested James was being unprofessional by warming up without a shirt on prior to Friday’s game between the Lakers and Houston Rockets at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Ca. The criticism went viral and sparked plenty of debate online.
James certainly suggested he was aware of the criticism in a post after Friday’s game. The forward seemingly hinted at Thomas’ criticism by suggesting he was going to issue a rebuttal, but realized there was no point.

“Man I was going to say something but it’s useless at this point in my career!” James wrote before going on to congratulate coach JJ Redick on leading the Lakers to a 50-win campaign.
Man I was going to say something but it’s useless at this point in my career! Anyways more important CONGRATULATIONS JJ on a 50 win season in the WEST & Post Season nod! That’s 🔥🔥🔥🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾🫡

James certainly took issue with Thomas’ comments, but has very little to gain by engaging in a debate over them. Perhaps he learned something from the recent Stephen A. Smith debacle.
James scored 14 points with 8 assists in a 140-109 win over the Rockets on Friday. Obviously, he does not really need Thomas’ feedback on his warmup methods.
