LeBron James signs with Warner Bros., could do ‘Space Jam 2’ movie
LeBron James is breaking into show business in a big way, and his latest move has many speculating that he could be part of an upcoming “Space Jam” movie.
James, who was featured prominently in the summer romantic comedy movie “Trainwreck,” and his production company SpringHill Productions signed a partnership deal with Warner Bros. to develop TV, movie and digital projects. The two entities will co-produce and co-own every project. James’ company will have the ability to shop projects elsewhere if Warner Bros. is not interested.
The project most expected to be developed is a second Space Jam movie. The first one featured Michael Jordan teaming with Warner Bros.’ cartoons. The studios reportedly has long been targeting James for a second movie and even filed for “Space Jam” trademarks in early June:

“Connecting with my fans and telling meaningful stories have always been my passion. In everything I’ve done, from Nike commercials to Uninterrupted and Survivor’s Remorse, it’s always about connecting with people of all ages and providing unique content they can all enjoy,” James said in a statement. “And I’ve always loved movies, which makes Warner Bros. the ultimate partner to help us continue to push the envelope. I can’t wait to see what we come up with.”
In addition to doing a Space Jam movie, James could be a natural to appear in superhero movies as part of the Warner Bros.-owned DC Comics. Some of DC’s most prominent superheroes include Superman, Batman, Flash and Green Lantern. We could easily see LeBron doing one of those movies, though Dwight Howard surely would love a cameo.
