LiAngelo Ball was not selected in the NBA Draft and has not received an invite to join any team during the Summer League, but fortunately he had a backup plan in place that he knew would work.
On Monday, Ball announced that he is joining the Junior Basketball Association — the league founded by his father LaVar Ball and funded by the Big Baller Brand.

LiAngelo will be playing for the Los Angeles Ballers like his younger brother LaMelo, of course. The JBA said in a press release that NBA teams “surprisingly passed” on Ball in the draft, but it really wasn’t a surprise to anyone who has followed him from before he chose to leave UCLA.

LiAngelo is still confident that he is going to wind up with one particular NBA team, but he has a very long way to go. Is the Junior Basketball Association and the Big Baller Brand going to get him there? We know how LaVar would answer that question.
