Kevin Durant is pretty much guaranteed to succeed with the Warriors, and that isn’t simply because Golden State is already a championship-caliber team. In addition to now being teammates with Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green, Durant also no longer has to deal with Lil B’s curse.
Lil B, a Bay Area rapper who is a huge Warriors fan, has taken credit for cursing numerous NBA superstars with what he calls “The BasedGod Curse.” Most recently, he took credit for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s epic collapse against the Warriors in the Western Conference Finals, claiming he had placed his curse on Durant.
After Durant announced he is signing with Lil B’s beloved Warriors, the rapper lifted the curse.

What a relief. If you want to know how dangerous Lil B’s curse can be, just ask James Harden.
Interestingly enough, Lil B said he was going to lift the curse on Durant if K.D. joined another team this offseason — not just the Warriors. Not only is Durant free from the curse now, but he also gets to benefit from it. How can Golden State lose?
