Luka Doncic had funny reaction to Timberwolves’ last shot
The Dallas Mavericks won Game 2 of the Western Conference Finals on Friday, but they had to survive one last Naz Reid three-point attempt to do it. For Luka Doncic, that was apparently quite the terrifying moment.
Doncic confessed after the game that Reid’s look had been “too good,” and that he had “almost passed out” when he saw the shot go up.

Luka: "I wasn't thinking I almost passed out. That was looking good, too good … he couldn't miss today" pic.twitter.com/1Ijxjpjhx0— CJ Fogler account may or may not be notable (@cjzero) May 25, 2024
“I wasn’t thinking. I almost passed out,” Doncic said after the game, head in hands. “That was looking good — too good. He couldn’t miss today.”
Reid went 7-of-9 from three in Game 2, but he ultimately missed the buzzer-beater despite a pretty good look. It’s no wonder Doncic was terrified when he saw the shot go up.
Doncic was very fired up after hitting the go-ahead three. It’s impressive that Reid put fear into him even when Doncic was in that mindset, but ultimately, the Mavericks did hold on.
