Magic Johnson had a priceless reaction while watching the Dodgers blow open Game 5 of the National League Championship Series.
Johnson was at Staples Center for the Lakers’ season opener later in the evening against the Clippers. Prior to tipoff of that contest, Game 5 of the NLCS between the Dodgers and Cubs was being shown on the jumbotron.
When Los Angeles blew the game wide open thanks to a grand slam by Kike Hernandez, Johnson went nuts, clapping and yelling “that’s what I’m talking about!”

Johnson, who is currently the president of basketball operations for the Lakers, also has an ownership stake in the Dodgers. So, it’s understandable he would be excited. However, given Johnson’s allegiance to the city of Los Angeles, you’d have to think he would have reacted the same way even if he wasn’t part of the ownership group.
Thankfully Johnson’s exuberance was caught on camera because it’s worth watching a few times.
