Malik Monk appears to be making the most of his first year in Los Angeles.
The Lakers guard sparked dating rumors this week after he was spotted on a Valentine’s Day date Australian rapper Iggy Azalea.

Some on Twitter pointed out that the date was a long time in the making after Monk tried to court Azalea on Instagram back in 2018.

Azalea is well-known in NBA circles, especially when it comes to the Lakers. She famously used to be engaged to former Lakers guard Nick Young, who played for the team from 2013 to 2017. Young’s alleged infidelity to Azalea even sparked a major controversy in the Lakers locker room.
As for Monk, he already explained earlier this season how he is drawing inspiration from Young. Now Monk is taking another page from Young’s playbook … albeit one that Young probably will not appreciate.
