Nikola Mirotic dropped an interesting, well-timed tweet on Thursday night that has many wondering whether he was trolling his former team and teammate.
Mirotic is now with the New Orleans Pelicans after being traded there by the Chicago Bulls earlier this month. His team was off on Thursday, but the Bulls played. In fact, they blew a lead and lost to the Philadelphia 76ers 116-115.
Not only did the Bulls lose, but the defeat came on a night when Bobby Portis scored a career-high 38 points.
Right around the time the game ended, Mirotic tweeted the following, which included a shrugging emoji:

The tweet was not lost on Bulls fans, who recognized it may have been about Mirotic’s former team.
You better chill before Portis hits you with another combo

That was a reference to Portis punching Mirotic during training camp, which sent Mirotic to the hospital with broken bones in his face. Maybe Mirotic gets a small measure of satisfaction watching his former team lose. Or maybe his tweet had nothing to do with them at all.
