Philly fans cheer Joakim Noah’s ankle injury (Video)

Philly sports fans have a reputation for being the most brutal in the country, and it’s been earned over time because of crap like this.

Bulls center Joakim Noah was leading a fast break early in the third quarter of Game 3 between the 76ers and Bulls when he turned an ankle stepping on Andre Iguodala’s foot. Noah’s foot went from being perpendicular to the ground to being parallel with it. It was a brutal sprain, and it left Noah yelling in pain.

And how did Sixers fans react? They began cheering as soon as Noah began rolling around the ground in pain. They were even scolded by announcer Mike Tirico who called it a “very unfortunate reaction from the fans.”

As bad as that display was from Sixers fans, I’m not even sure if it’s the worst thing Philly fans have done. They’ve booed a robot, made a player’s fiancee cry, and they’ve thrown beer at opposing teams.

As we’ve said before, Philly fans are the champion of the lewd, crude, and rude. I’m not sure how they can justify their behavior.
