Steph Curry is considered fairly short by NBA standards, but he can still win the height battle over some other legendary professional athletes.
Curry and the Golden State Warriors prevailed on Thursday night over the Los Angeles Lakers, defeating them by a 123-116 final score. After the game, Curry posed for a picture with soccer icon David Beckham, who was in attendance sitting courtside during the contest at Crypto.com Arena.
The photo quickly went viral and showed that Curry was a fair amount taller than Beckham.

Curry is officially listed at 6-foot-2 and Beckham is roughly around 5-foot-11. The former has obviously found his niche at the point guard position in the NBA and become an all-time great. Meanwhile, the latter played during his pro career as a midfielder and winger, positions where height is not nearly as important as with other positions like striker, centre-back, and goalkeeper.
Beckham, now 49 years old, was likely returning the favor on Thursday night for Curry, 37. The evening before, Curry was in attendance for an Inter Miami match (the MLS team that Beckham is notably the president and co-owner of). During that contest, which was played in Los Angeles against LAFC, Curry received a harsh reception from the home crowd.
At the very least though, Beckham is still giving Curry something to aspire to. Beckham was a six-time league champion with Manchester United and went on to play professionally until the age of 38. Curry is still hoping to add to his own championship count of four and apparently wants to continue to play for a good while longer too.
