Pistons’ Christian Wood ‘fully recovered’ from coronavirus

Christian Wood

Christian Wood seems to be doing well in his recovery from the coronavirus.

On March 14, we learned the news that Wood had tested positive for COVID-19. He was the only Detroit Pistons player known to have contracted the virus.

The Pistons had a round of testing for the virus on Wednesday, The Detroit News’ Rod Beard reports. There was only one positive test among the group, which included staff and members of the traveling party, in addition to the players. Wood’s test was negative. He would need a second negative test 24 hours apart to officially be cleared.

Wood is “feeling great and fully recovered,” according to his agent, Adam Pensack.

The Pistons’ tests for the virus were done through a private company. They were all originally tested because the team faced the Utah Jazz on March 7.

The Jazz have two players, Rudy Gobert and Donovan Mitchell, who tested positive for the virus, leading other teams that had played them to get tested.
