Negotiations with Capela had at times been contentious, though it doesn’t sound like they had to bump their offer up too much to get this deal done. It will come as a massive relief to Houston, who really wanted to keep their forward, who is a rising talent and a key part of their success. He averaged a career-best 13.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game last season, leading the league with a .652 field goal percentage.
