Rudy Gobert swings at Christian Braun after getting posterized
Minnesota Timberwolves center Rudy Gobert on Friday did not take kindly to getting dunked on by Denver Nuggets guard Christian Braun.
The Nuggets led the Timberwolves 108-102 with just over five minutes left at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minn. Braun caught a pass on the right wing and then drove toward the rim with ferocity. The athletic guard powered over Gobert’s chest for a monstrous two-handed flush.
Braun flexed his muscles in front of Gobert after the slam. A frustrated Gobert violently swung his left arm at Braun in an attempt to shove the Nuggets wing.

Gobert and Braun were each assessed a technical foul.
The altercation ended up lighting a fire under the Timberwolves. After Braun’s dunk gave Denver a 110-102 lead with 5:14 to play, Minnesota closed the game on a 17-6 run to seal a 119-116 come-from-behind win.
Braun’s poster dunk against him aside, Gobert had a solid performance in Friday’s win. The four-time Defensive Player of the Year finished with 17 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 blocks.
Gobert has been no stranger to physical altercations on the court throughout his career. The Timberwolves center was memorably put in a chokehold by Draymond Green last season.
