Russell Westbrook and Kevin Durant appear to have two different views of their relationship.
Westbrook spoke with the media on Friday and was asked about his former Oklahoma City Thunder teammate. Durant, who signed with the Golden State Warriors in July, recently said he and Westbrook were still “cool” despite no longer being teammates.
When presented with that statement, Westbrook responded with a pause and said, “I haven’t talked with him.”
What, were you expecting all fun and games from the Thunder star?
Westbrook operates in a specific and focused way. If you’re not on board with him, if you’re not his teammate, you’re not as important in his life.
His response really should not come as a surprise especially when you recall how Westbrook reacted to a text message from Durant.
