The Thunder and Warriors met Saturday night in the NBA’s marquee game of the day. As he entered Chesapeake Energy Arena prior to the game, Russell Westbrook paid homage to one of the more popular basketball movies of the 1990s.
“Above The Rim” came out in 1994 and featured Tupac Shakur, Bernie Mac, Marlon Wayans, and Duane Martin. Towards the end of the movie, there’s a tournament called the Shootout, which Westbrook wore a jersey from.

Westbrook has worn some memorable outfits pre and postgame in the past. This one will likely get lost in the shuffle. However, as a fan of “Above the Rim”, this outfit ranks pretty high on the the list for me.
