Shaun Livingston expected to negotiate buyout with Warriors, may retire

The end may be here for Shaun Livingston and the Golden State Warriors.

Mark Medina of The Mercury News reported on Thursday that the veteran guard is expected to negotiate a buyout with the Warriors, as only $2 million of his $7.7 million contract for next season is guaranteed. Medina also says that Livingston has strongly hinted he may retire.

Livingston, who will turn 34 later this year, just completed his 14th NBA season. He has been a mainstay for the Warriors since joining them in 2014, factoring into all three of their titles over that span as a key cog off the bench.

The Dubs are at a major crossroads with the rest of their roster right now, and losing a veteran rock like Livingston will hurt, but it is hardly unexpected.
