Son of Rick Adelman dies after being hit by car
RJ Adelman, the son of former NBA coach Rick Adelman, was killed last week after being hit by a car.
The 44-year-old was killed after being hit by a car while crossing the street in Houston around noon on Feb. 2, according to a report published by TMZ Sports on Thursday. They say he was not using a crosswalk. The driver was questioned by police and released without being charged, per TMZ.
Adelman played basketball at Willamette University and became a lawyer afterwards. He also worked in basketball as a scout for the Sonics and Kings before becoming an assistant coach for his dad in Houston.
