Brian Scalabrine is mostly a bench player for the Bulls. The 11th year forward has seen action in just four of Chicago’s 10 games. Scal is a fan (and announcer) favorite, so you can just imagine how they’re dying to see him play in games. That happened on Monday night when the Bulls were blowing out the Pistons.
Scal even got into the score sheet by knocking down a fastbreak jumper. The play caused announcer Stacey King to lose it and go crazy celebrating the White Mamba. Watch the video:
People like to laugh at Scal because he’s a bench scrub who hardly plays, but the guy has been in the NBA 11 years. You don’t enjoy a career that long without being a good player. Fans and announcers may celebrate every basket he makes, but they shouldn’t underestimate how good he is.
