Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr looks like he will be able to get a break from the league for his tweet sent on Thursday night.
Kerr tweeted in response to a highlight of James Harden where he thought the Houston Rockets guard had traveled.
“It’s an embarrassment. I think the league is so happy with all the scoring that it doesn’t want to enforce stuff like that,” he tweeted.
Kerr later deleted the tweet. You can see it here:

The Warriors coach on Friday explained what happened, saying he intended to send the tweet as a direct message but screwed up. He says a friend sent him a highlight of the Harden clip and that was his response. He inadvertently sent it to the world and then quickly deleted it.

ESPN’s Chris B. Haynes says that because the message was intended to be private, Kerr will not be disciplined.
He’s not the only big name to avoid punishment from the league; Russell Westbrook will too despite pushing a fan who had run onto the court Thursday night.
