TNT had no mercy for Karl-Anthony Towns after his Game 3 stinker.

The network went viral on Sunday for the brutal graphic that they aired about the Minnesota Timberwolves star Towns. It was another struggle for Towns in Game 3 against the Dallas Mavericks as he finished with 14 points on an inefficient 5-for-18 from the floor, missing all eight of his three-point attempts. He also ended up as a minus-12 as Minnesota lost 116-107 to fall into an 0-3 hole in the Western Conference Finals series.

On their postgame show, TNT went savage mode on Towns. They aired a graphic about his struggles in the series and used the heading “Bad Kitty.”

That is a play on Towns’ nickname of “KAT” (after his initials).

Indeed, this has not quite been Towns’ series. The self-proclaimed best shooting big man of all-time is down to 27.8 percent from the field and a woeful 13.6 percent from deep in the three games against Dallas. On top of that, Towns has been losing minutes to backup big man Naz Reid, who has been shooting the ball far better than him lately.

The Timberwolves, particularly Anthony Edwards, are still confident about their chances, despite the 0-3 deficit. But if this is the version of Towns that they are going to get as the No. 2 option, they might as well book their flight to Cancun already.
