Video: Ja Morant had craziest buzzer-beater of NBA season
Ja Morant topped Derek Fisher’s famous 0.4 shot from two decades ago with a 0.4 shot of his own on Monday night.
The Memphis Grizzlies phenom delivered the wildest buzzer-beater of the basketball season at the end of the second quarter against the San Antonio Spurs. Morant hauled in a full-court baseball pass from teammate Steven Adams, adjusted in midair, somehow got off the shot as time expired, and sank it. Check out the crazy video.
There's no words for Ja Morant at this point. Unreal. pic.twitter.com/JgdalqABjB

That takes an absurd amount of body control and precision to even get that off in 0.4 seconds, much less splash it like Morant did.
The 22-year-old Morant continues to defy logic and physics alike in his third NBA season. As part of his casual day at the office on Monday, Morant also dunked Spurs big man Jakob Poeltl into another life and finished with a franchise-record 52 points in a 118-105 win for Memphis. He celebrated afterwards by hitting the Griddy.

Morant, who has led Memphis to a rip-roaring 43-20 record, has expressed disgust that the Grizzlies get so little national attention. But they probably won’t be slept on for much longer after Morant’s Mona Lisa on Monday.
