Kevin Durant still had a moment on Saturday despite being in street clothes.
The Houston Rockets opened up their first-round series against the Los Angeles Lakers on Saturday at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, Calif. But it was the Lakers who ended up earning the 107-98 victory to take an early 1-0 lead in the best-of-seven series.
Durant, who was out for the game due to a knee injury, was seen in a viral video before the opeing tip having words for a Lakers fan. The Lakers fan could be heard yelling something to Durant about LeBron James, and Durant fired back with a profane response.
“Get that grown man d–k out your mouth,” said Durant while pointing towards the stands. You can see the video at the link here.
The former MVP Durant, 37, was out for Game 1 due to a knee contusion suffered in practice earlier in the week. Rockets head coach Ime Udoka also made some concerning comments about Durant’s injury in its aftermath.
Durant’s status for the remainder of the series against the Lakers remains unclear at this point. But an Angeleno still managed to get a taste on Saturday of the trash talk that Durant usually saves for the likes of Dillon Brooks.
