Video shows the slick move Luka Doncic used on Timberwolves defender
Luka Doncic may only be 25 years old, but he has some veteran moves.
Doncic had 36 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists while leading his Dallas Mavericks to a 124-103 win over the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals on Thursday. Doncic was honored as the series MVP for his strong play. He also utilized some slick tactics that many fans likely would not have seen.
Jeremy Shardo, who is an assistant coach at Walsh University in Ohio, shared a video on X that showed Doncic slyly grabbing Kyle Anderson by the jersey and holding back his opponent so Luka could get by on a drive to the hoop. Additionally, the video showed Doncic stopped once he got past Anderson in order to draw a foul.
Watch Luka's left arm. He grabs Kyle Anderson's jersey and tugs him back to get by him on the drive.

That’s next-level stuff by Doncic, and very precisely the type of slick move his Mavericks head coach Jason Kidd used to pull on the court. Little things like that help separate Doncic from other players in the league.
