Michael Zerafa carried off on stretcher after knockout loss (Video)
Michael Zerafa was taken out of the ring on a stretcher after losing to Peter Quillin by 5th-round knockout on Saturday, but he is now said to be doing alright.
Zerafa was knocked out by Quillin after taking multiple clean shots straight to the face. He was immobilized and stretchered out of the ring at Foxwoods Resort in Connecticut and taken to the hospital for observation. Thankfully the 23-year-old Australian is said to be doing much better than he looked during that scary moment.
Michael Zerafa just got off the phone with @KIDCHOCOLATE. He is ok, tests are good, and Michael likely to be released shortly.

“It is hard to celebrate a performance like that, especially when someone is leaving on a stretcher. Unfortunately that is part of the game. I just pray that he gets better and gets home to Australia safe and sound,” Quillin said after the fight.
Quillin also recorded this video message afterwards:
Thank you to everyone who tuned in tonight and thank you to #MichaelZerafa who I hear is recovering well. #pbconnbc pic.twitter.com/uDiPr2uqpu
