Brittney Griner dunks in NCAA tournament game for second time (Video)

Brittney Griner dunked in an NCAA tournament game for the second time in a week when she threw down a two-handed slam in the second half of Baylor’s win over Georgia Tech Saturday. The Lady Bears won the game 83-68 to advance to the Elite Eight.

Griner, who had 35 points, 10 rebounds and six blocks in the game, energized her teammates with the dunk.

“Even though she dunks in warm-ups all the time, in the game it’s just something that automatically just gets us fired up and really excited,” Baylor’s Odyssey Sims said. “I think we get more excited for her than she does for herself.”

Griner also dunked in a win over Florida Tuesday. Baylor coach Kim Mulkey said Tuesday she likes it when Griner dunks because of it’s uplifting and intimidating effects. Clearly Griner was listening and took advantage when she had an opportunity. Her two dunks in the tourney tie Candace Parker’s record. Oh yeah, and did we mention that Griner is 6’8″? Now that is intimidating.
