Doug McDermott’s college roommate selling his old clothes
Prior to being selected by the Denver Nuggets with the 11th overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft (and later traded to the Chicago Bulls), Doug McDermott’s name gained legendary status around Omaha, Nebraska as a star for the Creighton Bluejays.
McDermott was a three-time First Team All-American, three-time conference player of the year, and left Creighton having scored the fifth most points in NCAA Division I men’s basketball history.
As one of the more accomplished players to the leave the program, we can expect to see McDermott back for various celebratory events. However, McDermott probably won’t be returning for the clothes he left in the closet of an apartment shared by a roommate.
So, Michael Vandevoort has decided to sell Doug McDermott’s threads, with the proceeds going to a good cause.

Sometimes you’re in the right place at the right time. For Michael Vandevoort, that time was spent sharing a living space with a college basketball star and one of the greatest scorers in the sports history. Now, the Northstar Youth Basketball Program get to benefit from that.
