
UMBC will be keeping its coach for the foreseeable future.
Retrievers coach Ryan Odom has brushed aside interest from Middle Tennessee State to stay with UMBC on an amended contract, according to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman.
UMBC coach Ryan Odom has agreed in principle to contract amendments that will keep him with the Retrievers, school announced. Odom talked to Middle Tennessee State, but opted to remain at UMBC.

It will obviously be tough for Odom to top a 16-over-1 upset, but sticking with UMBC will give him the chance to harness the momentum from the epic win and build a program. He had already stated his commitment to the school, and now he’s putting weight behind those words.
