Alabama quarterback A.J. McCarron had Crimson Tide fans somewhat concerned on Friday night after he was photographed wearing a walking boot in Atlanta, the site of the team’s season-opening game Saturday against Virginia Tech.

It looks like there is no reason for fans to worry. McCarron is wearing the boot for precautionary reasons and only has an ingrown toenail, according to ESPN.
McCarron practiced all week. It’s not uncommon for Bama players to wear walking boots for minor issues.
Alabama is looking to win its third straight national championship and fourth in five years.
