Report: Arch Manning has ‘high interest’ in 3 schools
Arch Manning will have his choice of just about every major college football program in the country, but a few are reportedly beginning to stand out above the rest.
According to Steve Witfong of 247Sports, three schools have “done a really good job” recruiting Manning thus far. Those three are Alabama, Georgia and Texas. They are joined by Florida, Ole Miss and LSU as the potential early finalists for Manning.
“As he continues to be diligent with this process, the schools, of course, that are in the mix are Alabama, Florida, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss and Texas,” Witfong said on the 247Sports Recruiting Podcast Wednesday. “I think that Alabama, Georgia and Texas, particularly, have done a really good job with Arch, who has high interest in all the schools I mentioned. LSU’s making a later move here under the new coaching staff, and the same goes for Florida, and I think he wants to give those programs a good look. He’s intrigued by them.”
Manning, the nephew of Peyton and Eli and grandson of Archie, is considered the top overall prospect in the Class of 2023. He’s projected to be the next great quarterback in the Manning family. He has thrown for 6,307 yards with 81 touchdown passes and 19 rushing scores in three seasons as the starting QB at Isidore Newman High School in New Orleans.
It goes without saying that every school in the country would love to have Manning, and he is giving several top programs a chance to make their pitch. Though, he has already dropped one national powerhouse off his list.
