Report: Arch Manning drops notable school from his list
The 2022 recruiting cycle is winding down and the attention will soon shift to 2023. And the most desirable player in that cycle is bound to be Arch Manning, the latest in a long line of talented quarterbacks from the same family.
So, where might Arch end up? The Newman High School gunslinger has narrowed it down to a small handful of teams with one glaring omission: Clemson.
Garland Gillen of FOX 8 was the first to report that Clemson had been dropped from contention. He also adds that some of Arch’s finalists include LSU, Georgia, Alabama, Ole Miss, Texas and Florida.

Currently, Manning is viewed as the No. 1 overall player as a 5-star in the 2023 recruiting class. He is also projected to be a first-round pick when he eventually declares for the NFL draft.
The 6-foot-4, 215-pound Arch is the son of Cooper Manning and the nephew of Peyton and Eli Manning, who have a combined four Super Bowl titles between them.
Why Arch decided against Clemson is unclear, but it’s back to the drawing board for the Tigers nonetheless.
