BYU has confirmed that standout wide receiver Parker Kingston is no longer a student at the institution following his arrest this week on a first-degree felony rape charge.

The 21-year-old Kingston, who led BYU in receiving last season, was arrested after a yearlong investigation by St. George Police into an alleged assault that occurred in February 2025 at a woman’s home in St. George, Utah.

The accuser, then 20 years old, reported that she had explicitly told Kingston she did not want to engage in sexual activity and instructed him to stop multiple times during the encounter, according to court documents. Kingston has stated to investigators that all activity was “consensual.”

Kingston made his initial court appearance Friday in St. George, where he was released on a $100,000 bond after being held without bail initially. Conditions include no contact with the accuser or witnesses, a social media ban, and wearing a GPS ankle monitor.

“I found by clear and convincing evidence that Mr. Kingston was a danger to the community,” Judge John Walton said during the hearing.

BYU officials stated they learned of the allegations only after the arrest. The university did not specify whether Kingston’s departure was voluntary or involuntary, though some reports indicate dismissal amid the school’s strict honor code.

The case remains ongoing, with a next court date set for February 25.

If convicted, Kingston faces a potential sentence of five years to life in prison.
