Dalvin Cook adds to FSU Sod Cemetery after win over Miami
Dalvin Cook rushed for 150 yards against Miami on Saturday night, and after the 20-19 win, he grabbed quite a souvenir. The junior running back was seen cutting a piece out of the end zone at Hard Rock Stadium to add to FSU’s “Sod Cemetery.”
In front of photographers, TV cameras and other media members, Cook cut out part of the end zone to take home:

The tradition of Florida State players cutting out part of an end zone to add to their “Sod Cemetery” goes back to 1962. The program treats its toughest road games as “sod games” to represent its most difficult battles. Team captains have the honor of cutting out the grass from the stadium to bring home to Tallahassee, where the sod is buried on the practice field.
