Kirby Smart makes playoff case for Georgia despite loss to Bama
Kirby Smart’s Georgia Bulldogs may have blown the SEC Championship Game against Alabama on Saturday, but that didn’t stop the coach from campaigning for a spot in the College Football Playoff.
Smart told the media that Georgia should be included in the playoff because they are one of the best four teams in the country.
Kirby getting passionate about his playoff case: “It boils down to one thing. Do you want the four best teams or not? Give the coach on the other sideline a vote for who he doesn’t want to play. I promise you it starts with us.”

Sorry, Kirby, but I have news for you: Your team has lost twice this season. You had your shot to earn a spot in the playoff and blew it — literally. You were up by 14 against Alabama and lost. You made a terrible call on a fake punt. That’s why you’re going to be left out; not because of the system.
