Watch: Kirk Ferentz bloodied in wild postgame celebration
Iowa coach Kirk Ferentz looked like he’d been in a fight after his team’s 31-28 win over Nebraska, but the reality was quite the opposite.
Ferentz was cut on the lip and beneath his eye after the Hawkeyes hit a game-winning field goal as time expired to win their final regular season game of 2018. He explained to Jen Hale of Fox Sports in an interview that the injuries were the result of an accidental celebratory headbutt from quarterback Nate Stanley.
Iowa's celebration was so intense, head coach Kirk Ferentz ended up with a bit of a cut.
He still seems happy though. pic.twitter.com/nd81FDGNe1
