Lamar Jackson grades his performance a D after win over FSU

Lamar Jackson

Lamar Jackson is the darling of college football this year and the talk of all pundits, fans and critics for his outstanding play. Yet there remains one person who is not impressed by Jackson this year … himself.

A week after scoring five touchdowns against Syracuse and grading that performance a “C”, Jackson accounted for five touchdowns (again!) in Louisville’s convincing win over Florida State. The 63 points the Cardinals put up on the Seminoles were the most allowed by FSU. But the sophomore was dissatisfied with that performance and graded it a “D”.

Lamar Jackson grade: “Offensive line, A-plus. Wide receivers, A-plus. But me? D. I threw an interception, some bad balls. Our team gets an A

C’mon, Jackson. Seven incompletions? What are you thinking! If you attempt 20 passes, you should complete 20 passes!

Clearly that’s what Jackson’s mindset is, which is exactly what’s pushing him to be as great as he is. With an attitude like that, he must be a coach’s dream.
