Did Mecole Hardman step out of bounds on his long touchdown in the third quarter of the national championship game? The ruling is up for debate.
Hardman caught an 80-yard touchdown from Jake Fromm to put Georgia up 20-7 on Alabama in the third quarter in Atlanta on Monday night.

The officials reviewed the play and decided to let the call on the field stand. Given how close it was and that the position of his foot was inconclusive, the decision by the refs to let the touchdown call stand made plenty of sense.
