Report: Mike MacIntyre lands Ole Miss DC job after Colorado firing
Mike MacIntyre was fired as the head coach by the Colorado Buffaloes on Nov. 18. Less than a month later, he has found a new gig.
Ole Miss rivals reporter Chase Parham reported on Sunday that MacIntyre has landed the Rebels’ defensive coordinator position.

Ole Miss’ defense was terrible this season. The Rebels went 5-7 and allowed 36.2 points per game, which was 114th of 130 teams. MacIntyre will have a lot of work to do to turn things around.
MacIntyre had been a head coach since 2010. He turned around San Jose State’s program before joining Colorado in 2013. Though MacInytre’s team went 10-4 in 2016, the Buffs had losing seasons in five of his six years, which led to his firing. He previously coached at Ole Miss from 1991-2002.
