Nick Saban broke out of his Robo-Saban mode for a second to actually celebrate Alabama’s 38-17 win over LSU on Saturday in Tuscaloosa.
Immediately after the game ended, Robo-Saban ran onto the field and jumped into the arms of senior quarterback A.J. McCarron for a huge hug.
McCarron called the contest with LSU a “huge game” and Bama’s “toughest game so far.” But after showing human emotion for a brief moment, Saban went back to his professional mode for his postgame interview with CBS. He continued to talk up McCarron, calling the senior the best quarterback in the country and urging fans and media to overlook statistics (presumably yards etc.) in favor of wins.
