There is no opponent who Nick Saban takes lightly. And in case you thought there was, he reminded everyone to the contrary this week.
Alabama will face Charleston Southern this week, which on the surface sounds like it should be an easy win for the Tide. However, the Buccaneers are 9-1 and one of the top FCS programs.
When speaking about the game with the media Wednesday, he refused to let anyone play down their opponent. The best part came when he reminded everyone that the Tide was expected to crush Georgia Southern back in 2011, and the game ended up being much closer than anyone expected (Bama won 45-21, but it was a 10-point game in the third quarter).

“They ran through our a– like s— through a tin horn.”
Classic. Great line, Nick. It’s comments and focus like this that help explain why Bama is so successful under Saban from year to year.
