Oregon Ducks have impressive popup porta potty toilet on sideline during games
The Oregon Ducks are known for being an innovative, forward-thinking athletic department. This is especially true when it comes to their uniforms and facilities, largely thanks to the backing of Nike founder Phil Knight, who has made his alma mater the company’s flagship school. Oregon is so out far in front of the competition that they even have outpaced everyone when it comes to sideline toilets.
During the Ducks’ 56-24 win against the USC Trojans in Los Angeles on Saturday, USC graduate Jimmy Mack on Twitter noticed that Oregon had an impressive popup porta potty toilet on the sideline. The collapsible unit raises up when stepped on to provide cover for someone wishing to utilize it. Here is a video of the toilet in action, via Mack:
The toilet is covered in Oregon green colors and even is branded with a Nike swoosh, of course.
Even though we are knew to this incredible 21st century contraption, it actually has been around for at least five years. The Pac-12 website wrote about it in 2014, and a Cal blog covered it in 2016.
Still, it’s new to us, and it’s definitely worth being noted. All football teams should have them on the sidelines, that way they could avoid some of truly embarrassing situations we’ve covered over the years.
