Oregon Ducks to wear pink helmets

Are you ready to see the Oregon football team like we have never seen it before? Given the number of uniform changes the Ducks go through during the course of a season, that is a question we could ask almost every week. On Saturday against Washington State, Oregon will be doing its part to call attention to Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

The Ducks will be wearing some pink gear, most notably their helmets. We have grown used to seeing pink cleats and towels during the month of October, but pink shells are fairly rare and overwhelming. Here are some more pictures of the pink swag, courtesy of the Oregon Football Facebook page:

Personally, I feel the more pink football teams wear the better. After hearing that story about the New York Jets saving a woman’s life by wearing pink gear, I don’t see how you could argue against it.
