Oregon junior defensive end/linebacker Eddie Heard was suspended from the football team after being arrested for allegedly punching a woman at a bar, according to a report.
Campus police received a report on Tuesday from a woman who complained she was repeatedly touched by a man at a bar early Sunday morning. He allegedly slapped her and she pushed him. After she left the bar, he allegedly followed and punched her in the face. Multiple witnesses supposedly saw the incident.
Oregon campus police arrested Heard on Wednesday and booked him on misdemeanor charges of fourth-degree assault and harassment.
Heard, a transfer who has five tackles this season, was suspended indefinitely by coach Mark Helfrich. He is set to be arraigned on Thursday.
