The controversy surrounding the Maryland Terrapins football program appears to have cost them their first recruit.
Parker Moorer, a three-star offensive tackle from Charlotte, N.C., announced on Twitter Saturday that he was decommitting from Maryland.

Moorer had committed to the program in April. 247 Sports now expects him to flip to West Virginia.
Moorer’s decommitment comes less than a day after ESPN dropped a bombshell report about an alleged “toxic culture” within Maryland’s football program under DJ Durkin. The school placed the third-year head coach on administrative leave Saturday.
