Pitt coach thinks UCF is tougher opponent than Notre Dame
Pitt coach Pat Narduzzi seems to be arguing in favor of UCF getting a shot at the College Football Playoff.
The Knights are working on their second consecutive undefeated season, but they’re only ranked No. 8 in the CFP rankings and No. 7 in the polls. They seem unlikely to finish in the top four and make the playoff.
If anyone’s qualified to speak about the Knights, it’s Narduzzi, whose Panthers have played both UCF and Notre Dame this season. Speaking with the media ahead of Saturday’s ACC Championship Game against Clemson, Narduzzi said he’d rather play Notre Dame than Central Florida.
Narduzzi: "I think I'd rather play Notre Dame than Central Florida."

Narduzzi’s team began the season 2-3 before showing improvement late and winning four in a row. They were routed 45-14 by UCF and lost in a tighter contest to Notre Dame 19-14. That explains Narduzzi’s thoughts.
UCF needs to frame this quote, put it on a billboard, and send it over to the CFP committee for examination. If Notre Dame is in, their argument is that they should be too.
