Sam Pittman hired as Arkansas head coach
The Arkansas Razorbacks have found their new head football coach.
Arkansas athletic director Hunter Yurachek confirmed on Twitter that Sam Pittman, Georgia’s associate head coach, would become the next head coach of the Razorbacks.

Highly regarded as an offensive line coach, Pittman has a history with Arkansas. He previously worked at the school from 2013 to 2015, when he served as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator. He has been part of Georgia’s staff since 2016, having been promoted to associate head coach prior to the 2019 season.
Arkansas’ rumored targets ultimately went elsewhere, with one prominent name the Razorbacks were linked to going to an SEC rival in Ole Miss. Pittman is respected, but inexperienced as a head coach, so it will be interesting to see if the less flashy hire works out.
